As Chief Executive Officer of Crossroads4Hope, A Network of Cancer Support (CR4H), I have been focused on transforming the organization through innovative approaches that update traditional models of psychosocial support for the realities of today’s complex and costly cancer journey. My passion for this mission comes from professional and personal experiences, seeing the challenges facing patients, caregivers, and family members coping with a health crisis. I am deeply committed to reducing the burden of cancer, especially on the most vulnerable members of our communities. I oversee a $2M operating budget and nearly $4M in assets. I lead a team of 17 staff, 30 contracted professionals, as well as hundreds of volunteers who help us reach 6,000 people impacted by cancer and their loved ones, regardless of age, stage, type of cancer, or where they are on their journey with the disease. I have over 35 years in leadership positions within for-profit and not-for-profit organizations and have worked across healthcare, human services, and manufacturing industries. I have had the privilege to participate in international and national committees focused on large-scale change and health initiatives. My entrepreneurial approach has helped me create dynamic environments, empowering individuals to achieve exceptional results. I have experience collaborating with executive management teams and Boards of Trustees, including strategic planning, facilitating organization-wide change initiatives, and coaching executives, individuals, and teams to achieve high-performance results. I have successfully established and implemented strategies to increase revenue, capability, and effectiveness. I have held strategic leadership roles throughout my career, including in human resources at Philips Lighting in North America. I began my mission-focused work within social benefit organizations at Hunterdon Hospice, overseeing volunteer services for patients and families, and more recently, as CEO of the American Red Cross in Somerset County, NJ. While at the Red Cross, I worked on building resilient communities through capacity-building and preparedness efforts and oversaw large-scale disaster relief operations, sheltering several thousands of residents displaced by flooding.I am committed to my humanitarian through volunteering, including roles within Emergency Management at the county level, including Incident Support and Search and Rescue Teams, and leading Mass Care efforts.
