Athlete Initiative is a sexual violence prevention program for collegiate athletic departments. The company offers sustainable advisory solutions backed by data services in order to empower student-athletes and mitigate institutions' risk. The Athlete Initiative program is built from the lived experience of student-athletes, coaches, and athletic administrators. We offer in-person workshops and round table discussions, data services to track impact, and advisory support for structural change. It is time for everyone to recognize their role in prevention. The University of San Diego Women’s Basketball team is a Division I program offering full athletic scholarships to 15 scholar-athletes. My role included student-athlete skill development, academic advising, and leading a donor program with team sponsors. During my time at USD, I was a member of the university research team. I attended the School of Leadership and Education Sciences and was awarded the top capstone project for the 2019 cohort. My research focused on sexual violence prevention programming in collegiate athletic departments.
