At Ithaka, I modernized an outdated application utilizing React technologies resulting in decreased deployment/update times and reutilized existing code for faster development. With this transition we were also able to reevaluate the necessary components and make improvements for users to better be able to utilize the tool by removing unnecessary or unused features and adding new features that met their exact needs. As a part of the transition to the new application, new features required SQL database tables with necessary updates and additions in order to optimize accessibility. Additionally, I updated API endpoints required to ensure seamless integration for the updated React application.Furthermore, I transformed existing app interfaces by leveraging React technology to enhance dynamic interactivity and improve the user experience. Additionally, I responded to on-call notifications promptly to ensure successful completion of scheduled jobs during non-peak hours. Lastly, I assisted in transitioning the in-house CI/CD platform to Docker, Kubernetes, and Gitlab, resulting in cost reduction and decreased deployment time

At Lakeside, I was involved in the process of developing new applications for the Lakeside Systrack product, with the aim of providing customers with enhanced visibility into monitoring cloud and server side systems. Additionally, I was responsible for implementing any necessary changes to ensure the continued functionality of the product. This includes identifying and resolving bugs that may arise during ongoing development. Furthermore, I proactively addressed any issues raised by customers, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner to maintain the effectiveness and usefulness of the product.

During my internship at Duo Security, I had the opportunity to assist in the application of programming updates to Cisco devices within the internal network. This involved ensuring redundancy and improving network speed. Additionally, I was responsible for developing a Splunk dashboard wuith alerts for various network components such as UPS, PDU, Firewalls, Switches, and APs. This visual representation of network health eliminated the need for team members to go through multiple steps to identify network issues and threats. Furthermore, I implemented network system alerts to ensure that team members remained informed about network problems even when they were away from their desks. This helped maintain a quick response time for network issues and allowed team members to stay updated on the network status.

During my internship at Duo Security, I was responsible for maintaining the Box application account requirements. To ensure that the number of users did not exceed the permitted number of accounts, I wrote a python script that effectively limited the number of users. Additionally, I provided accurate and up-to-date profile information for all users in a company of 500 across multiple applications. This was achieved by writing a python script that utilized application API's to update profiles. As part of my regular tasks, I assisted in thorough analysis of company-wide applications and hardware to ensure that all systems remained operational. This allowed us to identify and address any issues promptly, ensuring that the company's operations ran smoothly.

In 2015 had the opportunity to plan and organize an incredible international service trip to Guatemala for 15 members of our club. During our time there, we were able to make a significant impact by volunteering with three different organizations, each dedicated to improving the lives of the local communities. Our efforts directly benefited four communities and provided assistance to ten families in need.In addition to our hands-on volunteer work, we also took the initiative to advocate for these organizations by making generous donations. We contributed clothing and school supplies, as well as funds to purchase essential items like stoves, water filters, and beds. By doing so, we aimed to address the immediate needs of the people we encountered and help create a more sustainable future for them.Overall, this experience was incredibly rewarding, and I am proud of the positive impact we were able to make during our time in Guatemala. It was a true testament to the power of teamwork and the importance of giving back to those in need.

During my time serving in the Army, I had the opportunity to attend the Warrior Leadership Course and Signals Intelligence Training. Throughout my service, I was able to reinforce over 100 battalion and company level combat operations, which resulted in the removal of over 30 threats in the area of operations. Additionally, I was responsible for developing and managing 70 mission-focused products in the Middle East, which allowed for the safety of U.S. forces and local populations.As an intelligence support member, I was able to produce 20 to 50 high-value products for maneuver commanders in conducting counterinsurgency operations. I also held the role of Collection Manager in the Middle East, managing over 5 collection assets for 9 Combat teams. I also led 5 cryptologic teams to deploy and provide communications support to combat elements in the area of operations, resulting in the apprehension of targeted interests.One of my proudest accomplishments was promoting the active progression of skills and knowledge of soldiers, which resulted in the promotion of 3 soldiers. I also led 4 soldiers through deployment processes and requirements to prepare for the demands of combat scenarios. Lastly, I mentored 2 soldiers in leadership skills and military tactics, which allowed them to excel in their roles.
