In this role, I worked with outstanding colleagues to build the best health systems grants team, and I'm proud to watch them grow and carry on our success. We raised millions of dollars through private foundation, corporate and government grants to support our community-based hospitals, services lines and programs, including the Rochester General College of Health Careers.

Apply for and manage a portfolio of $30M+ in competitive grant awards across multiple hospitals, long term care sites and service lines in a $2B community health system. Major funders include federal, state and local foundations, including HRSA, the NYS Department of Health, the NYS Department of Labor, Empire State Development (through the NYS Consolidated Funding Application process) and the Greater Rochester Health Foundation. Manage relationships with State program officers to guide RRH leaders and program personnelthrough the contracting process, to successfully execute grant contracts and ensure regulatorycompliance. Work with organization leaders, including the RRH System Executives todevelop grant strategies that align with system priorities, apply for grants, and ensure collaborationacross the health system when approaching funders with multiple priority areas.Assist with government relations and the organization's participation in the Finger Lakes RegionalEconomic Development Council.Provide leadership support to development associates and development officers to coordinatelinks between grants and major gift prospects, and plan strategies to best meet the priorities andfocus areas of private foundations and individual funders. Partner with a variety of organization leaders and team members in finance, legal, humanresources, marketing/communications as well as clinical leaders to advance the mission ofRochester Regional Health and provide a collaborative approach to grant seeking and grantsmanagement, to achieve the highest quality results and ensure grant outcomes are met. Providecommunication and clarity for the grants process at RRH, to uphold accountability andtransparency.

•Managed all grant applications, reports and prospecting for regional non-profit agency with $70 million annual budget.•Major grant awards: NYS Department of Labor - Existing Employee Training Program (administered through the NYS Consolidated Funding Application), NYS Department of Transportation 5310 program, Max and Marian Farash Charitable Foundation, B. Thomas Golisano Foundation, Davenport-Hatch Foundation, the National Inclusion Project and the Rochester Area Community Foundation.•Presented grant workshops to program managers and other employees of Heritage Christian Services in Rochester and Buffalo, and co-presented a grant workshop for 50 development professionals at the Rochester Public Library.

•Applied for and received over $800,000 in grants from state, federal and local sources, including Ohio Department of Development, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City of Toledo and the St. Marguerite D’Youville Foundation.•Developed and implemented a new grants procedure for the agency.•Manage all aspects of grants, from submitting proposals and reports to billing.•Work with program managers and directors to ensure all grant mandates are adhered to.•Member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Northwest Ohio Chapter•Certified Ohio Benefits Bank counselor.

•Developed and executed a $68,000 public information plan for City of Cincinnati.•Worked with municipalities and residents in the Tri-state to increase recycling participation.•Organized a Media Kick-off Event to introduce changes to the Cincinnati recycling program, resulting in a 200% increase in bin deliveries from the same month in 2003.•Coordinated Cincinnati’s participation in national aluminum recycling program, The Recycle Challenge, sponsored by Sea World/Busch Gardens Recycling.•Partnered with organizations such as Keep Cincinnati Beautiful and Hamilton County Environmental Services to promote recycling initiatives.•Lead tours of the Materials Recovery Facility.•Gave recycling presentations to schools, community councils and other groups.•Designed flyers and promotional items and wrote articles for community newsletters.•Organized recycling workshop for area teachers.
