Responsible for the management of the college’s staffing needs, (including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment, employee layoffs, investigations, EEO and AA considerations). Manage the complex software for all employees’ assignment(s) in accordance with policies and objectives set forth by the State of Minnesota and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. This position has a strategic role in writing, implementing, and managing college policies and makes recommendations to the President and other college administrators. This position also serves as part of the Pine Technical and Community College management group and works in the best interest of the college and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system (MnSCU).

Perform personnel administrative functions which include, but are not limited to personnel/payroll transaction processing, clerical and technical support, hiring and performance management to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the Human Resources Department. 3. Act as campus expert on benefits including advising managers, supervisors and employees on MnSCU specific benefits to ensure insurance and retirement benefits are offered and communicated correctly to faculty and staff and administered appropriately and in compliance with benefit programs and collective bargaining agreements. Provide information to employees and retirees including answering questions, providing forms, and resolving problems regarding health life, dental and optional insurance. Answer questions regarding insurance coverage. Provide employee and labor relations advising and expertise for employees, supervisors and managers to ensure understanding of and compliance with employment laws and regulations, college and MnSCU policies, and bargaining agreements and personnel plans.
