While studying to obtain my master's degree in speech-language pathology, I worked as a student clinician in the University of Oregon Speech-Language and Hearing Center. There, I provided speech-language therapy services to adult and pediatric clients with a variety of diagnoses. I also worked as a full-time intern for Bellingham Public Schools and Mackenzie-Willamette Medical Center during this time.

As Operations Resource Specialist at Camp Mowana, I worked in the camp's office as well as in outdoor education. Hosting all of the retreats for camp's summer season, I worked with all of the adult groups who use the camp's facilities, including the ELCA in Washington's meeting with Senator Sherrod Brown. I also managed the camp's adherence to American Camp Association's policies, in preparation for an ACA inspection. This inspection was successful, with Camp Mowana earning a rating of 99.6 percentage of compliance.

While studying Speech and Hearing Science at The Ohio State University, I also participated in campus employment, research groups, and musical ensembles.As a student, I worked as an office assistant for Morrill Tower, Ohio State's largest residence hall, housing about 1,200 students. Later in my college career, I became a student caller for Ohio State Calling, contacting alumni to maintain their connections with the university and to raise money for various departments.I volunteered as a research assistant for OSU's Developmental Research and Cognition Lab. While there I worked under Dr. Laura Wagner, running and coding studies with both adults and children.Because music has always been an important part of my life, I continued in pursuit of musical excellence as an OSU student. I was a founding member of Dynamic Contrast, Ohio State's premier a cappella group. I also participated in the Ohio State University Women's Glee Club every quarter of my college career, serving as the treasurer for two years, followed by the presidency during my senior year.

I contacted over 300 alumni, parents, and other affiliates per week to facilitate continued connection to the university. During these calls, I elicited feedback from alumni regarding their Ohio State experiences, gathering valuable information for the university and its alumni association. In my time there, I raised thousands of dollars to benefit the university's scholarship funds, and other related beneficiaries.

As a Program Specialist at Camp Mowana, I developed programming used in the camp setting, trained staff members to utilize and facilitate that programming, then evaluated each counselor on his or her performance throughout the ten-week summer season.As a Program Coordinator, I trained staff members on situations outside of theme-related programming, for example, relating to campers, emergency situations, homesickness, safety procedures, etc., and evaluated staff on their ability to carry these out. I also managed behavioral and crisis situations with campers, staff members, and parents.
