During my career I have taught a range of undergraduate, multi level students. Supporting and guiding them with; concept development, investigative research and design development. I have also spoken at a series of career focused events to students wishing to pursue a career within the fashion industry.During the COVID pandemic I have been involved with a series of remote 'Industry talks'. Mainly for Birmingham City University & Solent University. Sharing my story/career history and offering advice/support to young designers in this uncertain period.

Remote, Between Stockholm & Metzingen

Travelling to the HUGO BOSS head office and leading the ‘bottoms’ team on the sportswear division. Building the new trouser collection whilst mentoring a young design team to have the skills and requirements to fill the ‘designer’ role in the future. Helping to incorporate the trouser collection into a slick concept and steer the direction of the range under new management/direction. Travelling to Italy to work in the wash house/factory with hands on development. Supporting the team in Hong Kong and helping set up for market meetings whilst working closely with merchandising and production. Using my extensive trouser knowledge to help reinvent the collection and improve the identity and position in the current market. Advising on vendors, factories and improve overall production.Working alongside the head of knits, helping design the SS21 collection. Concentrating on Hybrid outerwear pieces. This was an intensive 2 weeks of creating tech packs and building the range.

Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

This was an exciting time to be at at Tommy Hilfiger, with heritage and preppy Americana brands exploding on the current market. It has been inspiring to design a collection for such a relevant brand. Being apart of its ‘rebrand’ and change of direction was a welcome challenge.I have been an integral part of the Menswear/Sportswear design team, heading up the bottoms department. During these 4 years I also took on other categories, namely Leather Jackets and swimwear. I worked very closely with a team of graphic designers, product developers and merchandisers under our creative directors to ensure a fashion forward yet commercial collection is delivered season after season. I have maintained growth within the category and improved both sales and margins.

Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

I was selected to be a part of an exciting ‘start up’ based in Holland that was inspired by the build of a luxury ‘J-class yacht’. This was being championed and funded by one of the co-owners of Scotch & Soda. This premium menswear brand offered highly technical sailing details and fabrication in classic menswear. The items were to be worn when racing and back on shore. All pieces embodied modern cutting-edge technology, whilst ensuring wearability.

Menswear designer, outerwear, mainline jackets and trousers, casual trousers, shorts and headwear at Ted Baker. Key part of a very talented and tight design team. Working on a fun and creative menswear collection. I quickly added blazers and pants to my original title. Ted Baker had a very specific design aesthetic and I really enjoyed exploring it. Here I learnt to be a confident and competent designer. I loved it!

I designed tailoring, outerwear and wovens for British independant brand Steel & Jelly. 1912 Limited were also a wholesale company, supplying various British brands.
