As the Team Leader for the Surveillance, Preparedness and Response Programme in the Public Health Division (PHD), I lead a team of 9 incredible staff. This includes Epidemiologists, as well as surveillance, research, communication and data officers based in Fiji and New Caledonia. Our team is dedicated to improving health security across the Pacific, through epidemic intelligence and research, capacity building and providing technical assistance.In this role I am responsible for:- line management - programme management for several multimillion dollar grants - collaborating with other PHD programmes and SPC Divisions- building relationships with partners, donors and stakeholders- contributing to the divisional business plan and setting the direction for the team - overseeing Epidemic Intelligence research and reporting for the Pacific Region- providing secretarial functions as the focal point to the Pacific Public Health Surveillance Network (PPHSN)
