I designed, supported, and managed our senior talent matching function to help match talented senior alumni to executive school systems positions. I also curated, designed, and developed learning opportunities, resources, and infrastructure specific to navigating the career pathways in educational leadership for our alumni network and my regional staff colleagues, including recruiting for school and systems leadership preparation programs.

I accelerated the careers of Teach For America (TFA) alumni by helping them make an impact at the school and systems leadership roles. I managed a digital job board and national initiatives with support from over 50 regional offices by being adept in technology solutions, project management, data analysis, systems building, and event planning.

I established vision, mission, and strategy through virtual and in-person environments for two national TFA teaching awards where I supervised the selection process of over 300 applicants and 75 members of selection faculty. I also was a lead project manager of the design of the Teacher Professional Development Track at the TFA 25th Anniversary Summit and of the National Professional Learning Community for Supporting Alumni Teachers, which consisted of 35 regions focused on professional development for alumni teachers.

I leveraged my strategic planning, program design, and talent recruitment skills, I supported over 1,200 alumni in the Washington D.C. area. I specifically owned professional development opportunities for TFA school-based alumni and matched them to education roles. I designed and executed four education leadership programs, planned 15 events, and also advised alumni boards. I took an active role building a community of corps members and alumni who identified as Asian American Pacific Islander.

I coached school leaders and supported their leadership teams at 14 district and charter schools. I worked collaboratively to align vision and goals, implement data-driven instructional best practices, and build capacity in order to establish independence. This role developed new skills for me, including curating resources, building team culture, and presenting content in multiple ways.

In less than 10 weeks, I completed two influential projects: I created a policy handbook and training materials for the DCPS restructuring strategy and optimized the Chancellor’s performance management processes and scorecards.

Selected from a competitive pool (12 percent from 2,400 applicants selected nationally) to serve as a Senior Associate at DC Public Schools and be a contributing member of a cohort that met weekly for daylong workshops.

I coached and supported 30 English as a Second Language teachers by observing instruction in classrooms, delivering content during workshops, analyzing student data, reading reflection assessments, and discussing results in one-on-one meetings. My role also included interviewing and matriculating candidates for the TFA program.
