Responsible for supporting the Accessibility program focusing on ongoing VPAT compliance and remediation. Work across product organization and suite of VMware’s products from computer and cloud to networking and security. Directly contributing to building accessible products for everyone.Job responsibilities include:• Provide technical and design solutions of products for compliance with current and evolving regulations including Section 508, WCAG 2.0 AA and 2.1 AA• Create and maintain Accessibility Design and Accessibility Developer checklists.• Present accessibility micro-trainings to designers and developers to help them understand WCAG criteria and methods to meet the requirements based on their role.• Perform hands-on accessibility testing using multiple forms of assistive technology• Coordinate with product teams and business partners to prioritize accessibility defects for remediation• Author ACR/VPAT assessments.• Align with program management and release management teams continually improving the compliance process including scheduling and planning of testing and remediation• Effectively communicate program execution status, accomplishments, and risks to leadership• Collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders across a large organization with competing priorities and demands to align efforts and gain adoption.

- Contributed to testing response template library, making it faster for the testers to report accessibility violations during accessibility audits.- Wrote internal documentation on how to write ACRs/VPATs based on the product and customer needs.- Executed accessibility audits and reporting for several clients on various technology platforms including web, mobile and software. Audits include consulting at the code and design level to solve accessibility issues.- Provided accessibility design reviews for multiple industries and provided guidance to designers, developes and content writers, preventing accessibility issues earlier in the project life-cycle in compliance with regulations, such as Section 508 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0/2.1.- Produced VPAT documents after conducting comprehensive accessibility audits of customer products. - Managed various projects and client relationships providing accessible products to all users. - Worked on and off-site with various clients to provide end-to-end product consulting including the design review, development, copy editing, and end-user testing stages.

Provided consultation services to help organizations make their technology (including but not limited to web sites, mobile applications, and software) accessible for those with disabilities.Skills used:- Manual Testing- Script use cases- Give code remediation

- Taught three 10 week courses in Graphic Design, Web Development and Game Design. All three courses was known as Game/Code/Design- Instructed 12 underrepresented and undeserved youth between the ages 14-18.- This at the time, was the only program that taught game design free to youth in all of the Bay Area.- Technologies/concepts taught: Photoshop, Illustrator, Sublime Text, Git, Github, Github Pages, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Phaser.io

- Co-designed curriculum, and instructed an all female youth class including solo instruction lessons, where each student completed a portfolio and 2 games.- Created lessons in HTML5/CSS3 & JavaScript (Choose your own adventure) and Unity3D (Point & Click Game). All hosted through GitHub Pages.

BAVC + Zynga Presents : Girl Game Academy- Instructed 20 students under the guidance of the main instructor for Zynga’s game camp in JavaScript using ProcessingJS for the beginner class, and Phaser.io for the intermediate class.- Fulfilled Zynga guidelines and goals including raising interest for more female youth to develop games and learn to code.

- Taught coding in front-end development and graphic design to 10 underrepresented and under-served youth.- Developed exercises to improve HTML5/CSS3, Photoshop and WordPress skills.

- Contributed web content, implemented web design, and created in-house designs for BAVC, a 38+ year old media arts non-profit to inform the public, supporters and partners about the Youth Programs offers and achievements. - Mentored multimedia/media arts college students, as career adviser, college adviser and connected students to programs, training and internship inside and outside of BAVC.

Created http://bavc.org/remixes to fulfill NSF grant.- Built out pages in Drupal using HTML and CSS for Next Gen Youth Program information and student pages to show past student work.- Made in house graphics which provided visual explanation of all the the youth program and the paths that students may take.

- Met monthly at BAVC to receive career and internship preparedness training/workshops.- Workshops focused on resume building, interview guidelines and job research.- Bridges program resulted in interview and internship for the studio design department at Say Media, a media company.
