As Product Design Supervisor reporting to a Product Design Director and work closely with a Product Design Manager, team of Product Designers and cross-functional teams to implement media creation for new programs from initial concept to strategy/planning, prototypes to budget approvals, and implementation of building at scale for print and digital educational learning experiences that include videos, animations, simulations, and digital interactive assets.I lead and manage 4 Product Designers and work closely with a larger portfolio team. As a team leader, I strive to approach all projects and issues that arise during production strategically and effectively to maximize efficiencies. My team and I launch new media projects with global vendors, training and managing their workflow, monitor and review media creation and quality, maintaining schedules and budget to stay on target. While managing the build of large media projects we continue to build and maintain great working relationships with internal cross-fictional teams, external vendors and artists for long term success. Our goal is ensuring all media assets in our final digital and print products are accessible and equitable while being innovative and engaging for all our users!

While at SCD I fulfilled several roles in educational publishing. First as an art buyer, I was responsible for selecting appropriate artists based on style, budget and schedule. I negotiated and procured illustrations from artists/reps, issued contracts and maintained quality control. Created and maintained an artist/rep database. My role expanded to Project Coordinator and then Project Manager as I worked directly with art directors, editors, designers, photo researchers and clients to meet production schedules and budgets. In the role of PM, I managed the workload/schedules of 6 designers and numerous freelancers.
