I currently supervise employees running adult recreation programs for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities, in addition to registering participants for programs and other administrative tasks.

During my time as a Camp Leader, I was responsible for a group of about six individuals (teens or adults) with cognitive disabilities. I planned a weekly schedule for them as a group and would guide them through their daily routine. As Site Leader, I was in charge of making the summer camp calendar, providing necessary camp supplies, professionally handling physical and behavioral emergencies, and supervising staff.

I worked in a 1:1 based classroom of third through fifth grade aged children with special needs, primarily autism. I provided 1:1 academic and behavioral support to one student throughout the school day, as well as assisting with other students when needed. I gained experience in creating and abiding by lesson plans based off of IEP goals and management of aggression, self-injurious behaviors, and other behavioral concerns.

1:1 in-home therapy with teen with autism. Primary duties included social and life skill education, as well as behavioral interventions.
