I am a Product Design Engineer with strong mechanical and technical skills. I have specialised in Medical Product Design, however during my 20 year career I have also developed consumer, industrial, laboratory and automotive products. My skills transfer to high tech, defence, pharma and general manufacturing. I can work on any area of the Product Development process; User Research, Task Analysis, Feasibility Reports, Product Benchmarking, Concept Generation, Concept Evaluation, Prototyping, Product Rendering, Design for Manufacture, Engineering Drawings, Build Protocols, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis, FEA, Risk Assessment, DFMEA, Supplier Selection, Material Selection, Mould Flow Analysis, Patent Support and Injection Moulding Optimisation. I have developed injection moulded parts, welded frames, sheet metal components, castings, springs and worked with large complex assemblies.I use a variety of CAD packages; SolidWorks, Solid Edge and Fusion 360 and am experienced with the compliance and PLM requirements of the Automotive and Medical fields.I am a strong team member and have experience in consultancy, in-house and contract manufacturing environments.
