Driven from a lifelong interest in human behaviour, I graduated from Queens University Belfast with a Psychology (Hons) degree in 2011.I began working with Southern Regional College as a Student Activities and Enterprise Officer where I was tasked with organising a calendar of student events and delivering skill building workshops. It was here that I combined my love of psychology and design to begin creating interactive presentations. Engagement increased immeasurably by ditching powerpoint and bringing presentations into the 21st century using Prezi, a tool that allows you to zoom around a virtual blank canvas. This sparked a desire to inject some creativity into content creation, making information fun, engaging and impactful.In 2013, I used this passion to bite the bullet and launch SlackPress with two close friends, a talented journalist and videographer. We wanted to use our love of writing,designing and film making to retell information in a fun engaging way - especially to those small businesses doing amazing work but without the big budgets needed to tell their story. And so SlackPress was launched as a social enterprise, dedicated to creating professional affordable video content. Our work ranges from small social enterprises to large corporate and government bodies in the north and south of Ireland as well as mainland UK. We describe ourselves as a creative agency rather than a video production company and are proud to create community interest videos, corporate promotional videos, youth summer schemes, graphic design, infographics, prezi design and animation. Much of my time is spent either designing or in the pre-production, organisation and planning of shoots, prior to going on location to ensure the end product meets client goals. We started our journey driven to combining beautiful imagery with journalistic integrity and continue to tell the story of the brilliant companies we meet every day.
