Manager of the USMC's Comprehensive Environmental Training and Education Program in its 6 installations located in Okinawa, Japan. Conducted education and outreach as required by regulations. Designed and delivered curriculum to include multi-faced methods of instruction on subjects such as: Hazardous Waste Management, Spill Response, Cultural and Natural Resources Awareness, Solid Waste and Recycling PracticesManaged a training records database of 500+ personnel to ensure regulatory compliance, and managed/coordinated a project design database, coordinated feedback and comments from over 20 environmental engineers and environmental protection specialists. Coordinated with contractors across the globe to deliver unique training opportunities to personnel stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Assisted in flora/fauna surveys, and participated in the gathering of aerial GIS raster data. Utilized GIS data to develop area-specific training. One of my proudest achievements in this position was creating and launching the USMC's first ever fully-online annual Environmental Compliance Course Refresher. This course saved approximately 3 hours of travel time each week for two training personnel, and saved travel and 4 hours of face time for approximately 300 military and civilian personnel annually. This course was later translated for use by Japanese-speaking personnel.
