For 3 years I have worked closely with the head of the Costume Shop to supervise the costume development of the Theatre Department's 6 annual productions. My position allows me to work under an administrator while supervising my peers in the maintenance and construction of these costumes. It is essential that these costumes are ready to be used the week.

I have worked for the University's newspaper since the spring semester of my freshman year. I have served as a staff reporter, Assistant News Editor, Life Editor, and currently serve as the News Editor.The Mirror is an 8 page weekly paper. I design a two page spread on Adobe InDesign every week and also write 1-3 stories per week for the paper.

At DUTV, Drury University’s television station, I worked as a reporter, host, and producer of the news show titled DU27.Through this experience I learned the importance of deadlines, team work and communication. I increased my skills with Final Cut Pro video editing, anchoring, interviewing, in studio and on location shooting, and voice overs.

As an intern in the KY3 newsroom I shadowed producers, reporters, anchors and photographers. I helped write VOs/VOBs, and edit national packages for the anchors 5 and 6 p.m. news shows.
