I am a newly appointed development lead for maternity and children in West Birmingham with the Ladywood/Perry Barr Integrated Care Partnership, the locality portion of the Integrated Care System (ICS); the ICS is broader than health—it also involves education and social/community/volunteer services. My role will involve, among other things: 1. Developing a plan to reduce infant mortality in LW/PB (part of the broader IM taskforce commencing this month for Birmingham),2. Enabling the creation of neighbourhood level teams for children, YP and families,3. Helping to implement the Birmingham Children’s Partnership early help model4. Working to create a coherent local maternity model working alongside the 2 local maternity systems.Amy has a strong background both commercially in development and in young person, patient and family experience / engagement / co-production; prior to this new role, she worked at Birmingham Children's Partnership and Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospitals on projects that spanned organisations across Birmingham. She has a unique blend of commercial, NHS and education experience, having founded a business in 2003 and gone on to be a senior leader in several NHS/Public Service roles: She studied in the USA with degrees in Finance (BBA) and Education (Masters).
