• Lived in Sde Boker and supported the partnership between Jewish Colorado and Ramat HaNegev.• Launched a volunteer English tutoring program for retired native English speakers and local youth. • Consulted with founder of Inbar, an all-girls secular school in Jerusalem, modeled after the Girls Athletic Leadership School in Denver, where I previously served on the board.

• Transitioned local family-founded, family-funded, and family-led early literacy program to sustainable, national, non-profit organization whose impact doubled in five years.• Developed and implemented strategic plan to deliver program to more than 50,000 students in 20+ states. Included developing the infrastructure and staff to scale the organization.• Grew annual fundraising revenue from $1M to $5M+ through partnership development with local and national foundations, board members, corporations (including Scholastic Corporation), organizations, individuals, and schools.• Developed organization into national literacy thought leader.• Delivered TEDx Talk: From Intellectual Deserts to Cultures of Literacy (2015)

I served as the principal aide to the Superintendent and the Board of Education of one of the leading urban school districts in the nation. DPS served closed to 80,000 students, employed 14,000 individuals, and had a budget of nearly 1 billion dollars. I led the executive team in setting a vision for the organization, developing a strategic plan including measurable goals and aligning resources to implement the plan. I was responsible for measuring and reporting out on our progress publicly. I developed, leveraged and managed relationships with key stakeholders including: elected officials (local and statewide), business and industry specific interest groups, community leaders, and local and national partners. I provided internal and external coordination for the highest priority strategic initiatives that had significant community outreach and communications sensitivities.

During an 8 year period, I served as an English Language Acquisition Coordinator, a Charter School Specialist, the Director of School Choice, and Director of Academic Operations. Three of the four roles were newly defined roles which required me to chart my own course, solving problems in content areas in which I had to develop expertise. With each new role, my leadership and management responsibilities increased, and I honed my communication skills as I worked across all instructional and operational departments within the system.

I taught English as a Second Language to students from all over the world and French to English proficient students. I served in leadership roles including: mentor teacher; department chair; team leader; and Standards Resource Team member. I conducted professional development for teachers and developed district-wide summer school curriculum for English language learners.
