Major Gifts Officer

I launched and grew The Representation Project’s Founder’s Circle, a group of 15 donors who contribute $25,000 or more annually over five years to support general operating expenses. I collaborated with consultants and Ms. Newsom on the branding and communications strategy for the broadcast premiere of Miss Representation and the launch of MissRepresentation.org. 1.4 million people watched the 2011 premiere of Miss Representation on the OWN network. By early 2012 the organization reached over 100,000 people with its messages through online platforms. In 2014, the organization reached 3.5M people weekly. Additionally, I designed and executed the Town Hall strategy for Miss Representation, convening 500 business and political leaders, educators, parents and youth to co-create strategies for building healthier communities. Cities: Boston MA, San Francisco, CA, Newark, NJ and Raleigh, NC. I cultivated, secured and stewarded national partners for The Representation Project. Partners included: White House Council on Women and Girls, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Step Up Women’s Network, Women’s Media Center, and Common Sense Media
