    I worked as the program manager for a non-profit called MAC; Massachusetts Animal Coalition dedicated to animal welfare programs in the state of Massachusetts. The program worked to support local shelter efforts by providing a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for both dogs and cats. As the program manager and certified veterinary technician for the brand new donated clinic at the Tufts University Grafton campus, I was responsible for organizing, buying supplies, working with shelters, working with shelter veterinarian. I was the only technician who also took in the pets for the day and was responsible for inducing, monitoring and recovering all pets from anesthesia and discharging back to shelters. All pets were intubated, monitored with multiparameter machines including EtCo2 and provided pain medications. The clinic was a high volume facility with just myself and one veterinarian facilitating up to 30 surgical procedures in a day.
