Amy Nielson is a Team Lead - No One Dies Alone Hospice Program (NODA) at PeaceHealth at PeaceHealth. She possess expertise in sales management, sales operations, business development, managed care, marketing and 19 more skills. Colleagues describe her as "I worked under Amy for over 2 years. As a Regional Sales Manager, Amy was very team oriented. Amy made sure her sales team was well-informed of what was expected of them without making them feel inadequate. Amy was hands-on with her team but also allowed her team to grow with her management style. Amy allowed her team to be autonomous but if she felt that member needed help, she would step in at the appropriate time to give them some guidance. If Amy felt a team member was looking at a situation the wrong way, she would give them suggestions and examples of what might work better by guiding them in a positive way so as not to discourage that team member.
Amy's sales team was always in the top spot with meeting their sales goals and that was a direct response to how she managed that team. As it relates to my position since I was not a salesperson, Amy was well versed in medical coding and billing to help me meet my goals and make sure that our clients were introduced to me and knew that I was part of the team in a supporting role. Amy also helped me with making sure my email responses were well laid out, bulleted and to the point.
The guidance and productivity that Amy provided to her team made it very easy for team members to enjoy coming to work and meet and exceed their goals.
Since moving our separate ways in our professional careers, I miss reporting to Amy and would love to find another manager who is as astute and caring as Amy." and "Amy Nielson began her gifting to PeaceHealth Hospice Southwest in August of 2017. Amy brings many talents and gifts to Hospice. One is her passion for serving our community members at the end of their life in any way she can. She performs this blessing through participating in our No One Dies Alone (NODA) program.
Amy has been an integral part of building a successful structure for coordinating more than 80 volunteers with vital scheduling and communication systems. She has also taken on the added role of leading two NODA teams and assisting other team leaders wherever and whenever a need arises. Amy faithfully serves patients, staff and fellow volunteers as a team leader in our NODA program, selflessly signing up for shifts that others tend to avoid, ensuring that the mission of this program, to ensure that no one in Clark County dies alone, is met.
I would recommend Amy as an employee. She consistently maintains a calm presence under stressful and adverse circumstances. Amy has a rare balance of deep compassion with logistical expertise, enabling her to find the best solutions to meet humanitarian needs at a very challenging time in life. She is willing to work hard and maintain her focus as an advocate for Hospice patients. Amy’s 18 months with Hospice has truly made a difference in the lives of our Hospice patients and a huge impact on our community. Our program has been blessed to have her as a volunteer."
