Originally employed as a CSA at Greensborough Plaza Santa Set, after a successful season I became part of the Melbourne events team, where I have worked many events including Dinosaur Adventures, Brickman Exhibition, SUPANOVA, private green screen events and Father's Day pop-up photography.Through majority of the events, specifically 'Santa', I worked closely with children which I thoroughly enjoyed and led to me to the decision to go into teaching once my Business Bachelor is complete. The role of CSA also focused heavily on customer service and selling, plus it introduced me to basic photography skills. On a typical day on set one may perform every role on set - cashier, photographer, greeter and Santa's helper (involved introducing children to Santa and assisting the photographer to get the perfect photo) - each role required high energy and the ability to jump between each role quickly and seamlessly displayed versatility. My fun, kind and patient nature proved to be an asset in this position.

The predominant focus of this role was sales and customer service related. The role was very target oriented and was consistently successful in meeting those set budgets. Duties also included opening, closing and being entrusted to carry out banking procedure. Store unfortunately was closed in February 2015 and position was therefore made redundant.

My responsibilities included staff management, customer service, product knowledge, cash handling, stock receipt, customer orders and cleaning duties.

As a Gaming Attendant I had to juggle servicing the bar with overseeing and assisting patrons with poker machines. With regard to the poker machines I was required to perform machine refills, write tickets, handle large sums of cash, write cheques, read meters and ensure the gaming patrons were in accordance with the venue regulations. These responsibilities were performed in conjunction with serving drinks, taking meal orders and ensuring the bar was kept in a clean and orderly operating manner. I performed this position on a casual basis throughout my time at the Bendigo La Trobe University campus.

Leading Edge Music was a family business owned by my parents. I began working in the store at age 14 and developed strong customer service skills from there. I gained an insight into small business operations and a immense product knowledge of the CDs and DVDs the store stocked. I formed many great relationships and stepped up to take a leadership position on the weekend where my parents were absent from the store. For personal reasons my parents closed the store in February 2011.
