During the Covid-19 Pandemic, I had the opportunity to be employed at one of top-rated restaurants in San Antonio. I was quickly promoted from server to Assistant General Manager within 10 months. As the AGM, I was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of this high-volume, fine dining restaurant. The most rewarding part of my position was cultivating a supportive, positive, and empowering atmosphere for the staff. As San Antonio slowly started to open back up to allow full capacity in restaurants, I took on the primary role of the Sales and Events manger. I became proficient in Triple Seat, booking large parties, and managing large events. By implementing best practices and innovative ideas, I increased events revenue by over 70k within 6 months.

As Assistant Manager, I had the opportunity to mentor a team, build strong relationships, coordinate with vendors, and interact with many talented and professional musicians. I became proficient in performing nightly safe audits and reports, monthly inventory accuracy, facilitating personnel scheduling with adequate coverage to meet demand, and time management when my role required me to manage HATM's sister club, Merkaba.

While studying for my Bachelor of Arts in Music, I was invited to join the University Mission and Ministry as a Peer Minister and Co-Choir Director. I collaborated with the Director of Music Ministry to choose hymns, anthems, and special music for services and other ministry events during the year. This role involved preparing for weekly rehearsals to ensure choir and cantor readiness. Our goal was always to foster and encourage the sung prayer of the assembly. My time in University Mission and Ministry helped to foster my faith, become more service-oriented, and develop my musical skills in conducting, sight reading, aural skills, and teaching a choir.
