For one year I was privileged enough to live in Belgium as a Rotary Youth Ambassador through the rotary. During my stay I was fully immersed in Belgian culture by living with host families, attending school, and taking French language courses. It was an incredible experience. I not only taught others about the United States, but also was able to learn how other cultures lived. I attended monthly Rotary meetings and gave several presentations about the United States. The goal was to help bridge cultural gaps and to gain some insight on how others lived while representing both my country and organization. My time there was truly life changing and I'm forever grateful for my experience.
