Amy has been practicing massage therapy since 2006 after graduating from National Massage Therapy Institute of Falls Church, VA. Upon graduating, she started her career at a day spa and at Sport and Health. Driven by the desire to work with other types of practitioners and clients with specific needs, Amy moved her practice to a holistic setting. She enjoys the challenge of how every client comes with unique and specific needs and conditions. Her attention to detail allows her to address each individual appropriately. Amy specializes in deep tissue and sports massage. Having worked with many runners, cyclists, swimmers and triathletes, Amy's focus is helping clients prepare and maintain their bodies for all of their daily activities. Amy's training embraces using her intuition, while developing her knowledge of her client's body. So listening attentively to her client's concern about their physical well-being is a main focus of her work. Additionally, focus is given to finding the underlying causes behind these imbalances and pain from athletic, workplace and daily stress. Based on the discussion with clients, Amy customizes each session to offer clients exactly what they need. Amy's work in prenatal has offered pregnant women comfort and relaxation to help prepare the body for delivery. Attention is given to low back, neck and shoulders, hips, feet and hands, as those areas are often the struggle in the last trimester of pregnancy. Amy finds great reward in offering relief to women who are expecting.Amy also graduated from Windham Technical Institute and received a diploma for Chairside Dental Assisting. From 2002-2006 she was a Dental Assistant and Dental Administrator for cosmetic and general dentists in Mclean, Virginia, Reston, Virginia and Groton, Connecticut
