Starting out at Creative Assembly in 2015 as Operations Assistant, seven years later, I was Head of Studio Support, Buildings and Facilities over four studios for 650+ staff and reporting manager to a team of nine.I'm people focused and work to continually improve the workplace experience in a post-pandemic landscape. I'm passionate about inspiring and increasing the happiness and productivity of staff via creative and collaborative, activity based spaces and solutions.Notable achievements;One of the key learning curves and notable attainments during 2020 was sending around 550 people home before COB during the Covid-19 pandemic. Responsible for the logistics of achieving this before, during and after, and reverse engineering the process to allow for a smooth, phased return. Social distancing, one way systems and all other requirements for return to work, were successfully managed by myself and my team throughout the pandemic, and until such measures were finally lifted in the workplace. During this time, and as the pandemic restrictions ebbed and flowed in the UK, I also successfully planned, budgeted and carried out a new studio acquisition and CAT A fit-out. Working alongside colleagues from relevant departments and the staff who were due to inhabit the space, the project took roughly 18 months from start to finish. The build had to be from slab due to the nature of the gaming industry’s need for large amounts of power, network, server space and an excellent HVAC system, so a total strip out took place prior to the redesign.The final design was a complete success and met with high praise and gratitude from all staff and Senior Leadership. The studio was highly praised by SEGA Europe and SEGA Japan executives, visiting staff and guests. Following this, I took to the other two studios and worked to begin bringing the same look and feel to them so all staff had new environments to come back to. This entailed CAT B work to kitchens, reception spaces and meeting rooms.Another project completed during the pandemic was the acquisition and fit-out of a new motion capture studio. A fairly straightforward design, however the project came with plenty of workarounds due to the nature of the building so some re-designing was required. Despite the challenges, all projects came in under budget.I am seeking a role in a similar area of expertise. I specialise in strategic workplace solutions and estate management.
