Current• Established a community-level giving program in response to a merger between Friends of the Library and Nashville Public Library Foundation (NPLF), collaborating and building trust with Friends members and Nashville Public Library (NPL) staff to oversee a smooth, successful transition. • Launched fundraising initiatives that continue to grow, including the Library Sustainer program, bookplate tributes, annual Library Giving Day campaign, merchandise sales, and brand-based giving. As a result, community-level giving has increased by 72% and the number of individual donors by 132%.• Transformed the casual, thirty-member young professionals group, Next Chapter Society, to a thriving network of 120 members by recruiting and mentoring a leadership council of 15-20 members who fundraise ($22,500 raised in FY24), host monthly book clubs, and volunteer. • Acted as NPLF Interim Director of Communications and Marketing from February - May 2021, producing monthly e-newsletters and all other external communications in MailChimp, and creating and sharing social media content. Assisted with selection and hiring of three directors and was responsible for training.• Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Marketing to craft messaging for fundraising and advocacy communications, write blog posts, provide website content, collect and tell library stories, and offer editing support. Jointly supervise a new grant-funded Donor and Communications Associate. • Spearheaded an advocacy initiative launched in January 2020 in partnership with NPL. Oversee a volunteer task force responsible for creating and implementing a strategic plan to increase public funding for the library. Built an NPL Ambassador program recruiting and activating 180 advocacy volunteers. These efforts have strengthened relationships with Metro Council, resulting in a $1.96M funding increase in Fiscal Year 2024 Operating Budget and an unprecedented $45M for 2025 Capital Budget Improvements.
