Successful projects include:-Updated Membership and Automation Agreements-Sustained increase in direct member library County aid funding of 14%-Increase of two full time staff at System office to provide direct support to member libraries-County-wide fine-free program through County ARPA funds allocation-Additional collection to the catalog- Library of Things-New partnerships with the Reading Public Museum and Berks Nature to install two bilingual StoryWalks-Revitalized partnership with Berks Heim Nursing & Residential Center to install a StoryWalk for residents and familiesJob duties:Head of the Library Department (Berks County Public Libraries) for the County of Berks. Reporting to the Board of Commissioners, County Chief Operations Officer, and leading the work of a seven-member Advisory Board. Administrative and support services to the 19 members of a federated library system. Creating and implementing the System-Wide Funding Formula for distribution of State and County Aid. Developing and implementing county-wide program initiatives through partnerships with other county departments, agencies and non-profit organizations. Liaison to the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, the bureau of the State Library of Pennsylvania that supports library development throughout the Commonwealth. Managing daily delivery, centralized acquisitions and cataloging, program and outreach support and consulting services.

Managing and directing the daily operations and activities of a full-service library; supervise, schedule, train, evaluate, and coach all staff. Oversaw Keystone Grant for building addition of $500,000. Total new wing project completed on time and on budget; total cost of $1.3 million including furnishings. Wrote and received grant from Harry C. Trexler Trust for $25,000 for building addition.

Managing and directing the daily operations and activities of a full-service library; supervise, schedule, train, evaluate, and coach all staff. Increased circulation 8% over prior year figures through community engagement and exceptional customer service.Wrote and received grant from Pennsylvania Department of Education for $9,000 for Makerspace for youth and teens.

Select and maintain collection and budget for Adult Fiction, and Large Print materials and AV Materials including DVD's, Books on CD, Music CD's, and Great Courses.Plan, promote and implement classes and events for the adult population in the library and elsewhere in the service area.Prepare and submit grant and budget proposals in areas of responsibility.Provide outreach to Nursing Homes and other agencies in the service area.Provide reference services to patrons in-person, on the phone and via email.

Coordinated iPad roll-out and transition. Trained co-workers in navigating and operating new devices. Also, perform maintenance and troubleshooting with devices.Trusted adviser to clients as well as building relationships to connect, convert, cultivate and retain clients. Practice teamwork by partnering with specialists to complete tasks.

Processed the John Updike Society Archives as well as the Senator Michael A. O'Pake collection.I assessed, organized, preserved and provided access to these collections of personal and professional memorabilia as well as the University Archives.Provided reference services, worked at the circulation desk as needed, taught graduate and Ph.D. library skills to students and provided collection development for graduate studies.
