As program manager, I advance multiple dimensions of the Center on Global Justice's work at the UCSD-EarthLab community station. I lead implementation of strategic programming initiatives at EarthLab on behalf of UCSD. Much of my work involves serving on design teams made of teachers, community members, undergraduates, and youth that advances local climate action and education. I also teach a field-based undergraduate course at UCSD that frames climate change as a social problem with nature-based and community-level solutions. In this capacity, I manage teams of undergraduate interns at the UCSD-EarthLab Community Station and guide them in mentoring local youth. My work strengthens strategic community partnerships and positions me as a bridge to align institutional priorities within and outside the University of California. I currently serve on the ECCLPS PK-12 Teaching & Learning committee. ECCLPS was created to advance climate and environmental literacy, justice, and action through partnership between the UC-CSU systems.

I led undergraduate classroom instruction and facilitated small group discussions about the climate crisis. I practiced collaborative grading and provided targeted feedback to students in 1:1 writing conferences.

The mission of Ocean Connectors is to educate, inspire, and connect youth in underserved Pacific coastal communities through the study of migratory marine life. I have served as an advisor, volunteer, and whale watching naturalist for the organization over the years.

I taught creative writing and both created and piloted a psychology curriculum. On a given year, I taught over 150 high school students from diverse populations and low-income backgrounds. I was also a volleyball coach and after-school club advisor, which allowed me to work closely with parents and the larger community.
