As a community representative for Face the World, I am in charge of recruiting host families and educational institutions for foreign exchange students to experience living abroad in the northwest region.

As a Corporate Allocation Analyst, my duties included: -Replenishment and distribution of goods-Collaboration with Wholesale/Customer Service, Planning, Buying, Inventory Analysts, Marketing, and Production teams-Control overall store inventory levels based on store capacity, seasonality and selling curves-Use Blue Cherry ERP Software to manage Inventory and Production

As a Person In Charge (PIC), I had the ability to help train new employees, ensure customer satisfaction, count the till, and make sure everything is clean and organized. I also completed tasks such as scooping ice cream, making cotton candy, making popcorn, and even assisting with candy making. It is a small family owned business so I get to see firsthand how running a business works as well as the seeing the value of creating connections. My managers are the definition of leaders and have shown me that there is a difference between being a leader and being a boss which is something I will always treasure. Working here has also helped me realize how important it is to be a team player as well as how to handle being in a fast paced environment.

From intern to employee, I have been given the opportunity to expand my knowledge at Fringe Boutique! As a sales associate, I focus on selling merchandise and perform other duties that include: Unpacking, pricing, and steaming new merchandise, styling customers, cleaning and organizing the boutique, utilizing the point of sale system, and continuing some of the same duties I did during my internship such as social media and merchandising.

As a Social Media/Sales Associate, I utilized social media platforms such as FaceBook and Instagram by posting styled outfits, new arrivals and upcoming events. I scheduled posts using Creator Studio, and assisted in showcasing outfits on live channels such as FaceBook live and IGTV. I worked alongside the manager to brainstorm ways to improve our social media platforms and increase engagement. I used Liberty, a consignment software to track inventory, and photographed/edited new arrivals of designer brands including clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories and uploaded them to our web-based selling platforms. I used my visual merchandising skills to help re-merchandise the store from the summer to fall season, and helped style customers. I also maintained the store front organized.

Being a faith formation teacher for elementary age students was a very insightful and rewarding experience. I had the chance to get to know and meet many people from my community and teach children about the Christian faith. I had to create weekly lesson plans and make decisions on how to engage a variety of age groups within elementary education. This job helped me become more patient and social which I will carry with me in the professional field.
