About Amy Mcgaughey

I recently joined the family business in a management and leadership role. My goal is to help our enterprise continue down a path of growth, while also working on software projects such as Wordpress websites and backend services hosted on Google Cloud Projects.In 2010 I graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. After working in the renewable energy and aluminum production industries and I was exposed to data collection and analysis. I decided to shift my career toward software development and testing. I took prerequisites for a masters in Computer Science and worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer for Amazon. I expanded my software skills and was promoted to Software Development Engineer in September of 2016. As a Software Development Engineer, I worked in backend service-oriented software development on the Alexa Product Advisor team in Seattle. In 2021, I took a year off to care for my young daughter. Since then I have transitioned back into the workforce.
