I represented the society at the School’s Equality and Diversity Committee alongside planning and taking minutes of general meetings for the society members to read. I also took account of the university's society award points to maintain the gold status of the society.

I worked in the GSK Carbon Neutral Laboratories for Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Nottingham, assisting Prof. Pete License's research group by synthesising and analysing various ionic liquids. I gained experience working in a postgraduate laboratory, alongside learning how to use NMR, mass spec and UV-vis apparatus independently. I aided in organising several successful events and charity fundraisers and liaised with the School’s Welfare Officer to develop a more effective parenting scheme for first-year students.
