Focus on machine learning and data science.Achievement Highlights:• Orchestrated, designed and prototyped user behavioral analytics for predicting which users would encounter a serious web security risk. Profiled millions of users using a broad range of features related to their current and historical web use. Successfully isolated the patterns associated with compromised and at risk users.• Primary analytics researcher in a cross-functional team building a cloud based user web anomaly report. Designed and prototyped an analytic that profiled a user’s stream of web requests isolating user to self-anomalies and user to company. Designed novel variation of multivariate distance based algorithm that optimized performance to near linear. Supplemented anomaly scores with summary explanations of features contributing to score.• Researched and prototyped a machine learning analytic that used a broad range of features to characterize and predict the profile of a user infected with malware. Built an interface enabling security analysts to browse through potential and confirmed infections, explore features that triggered model and other similar users. • Designed and built a back-end system that mined a stream of cybersecurity product feedback to detect new threats and holes in known threats using multiple machine learning and statistical approaches to exploit risk of URLs commonly visited in same time frame or co-occurring on same domain or IP that significantly improved web security coverage.
