•Helped create and launch new annual fundraising event. which sold out two weeks prior to event date with nearly 300 guests and netted 143% of goal. •Increased net proceeds and attendance for those events I managed which were budgeted at more than $250,000 annually.•Doubled number of Lemonade Day participants in first year in position.•Handled migrating Lemonade Day website from Wordpress to Drupal content management systemLemonade Day is an educational program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business…a lemonade stand. Youth are introduced to lessons such as goal setting, planning, budgeting, finding an investor, creating a lemonade recipe, choosing a location, marketing their business, building a stand, running their business, and evaluating results. Kids keep the money they earn, and are encouraged to "Spend some, Save some and Share some." They choose the organization to donate to, and the percentage of their profits to donate. As City Director, I was responsible for all aspects of Lemonade Day program in Monroe County: fundraising, budgeting, program development and expansion, volunteer team recruitment, training and development, relationship management with schools and partners, sponsor and partner presentations, youth registrations, community events and engagement, marketing and publicity, website and social media management and monthly reports.As Fundraising Events Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Clubs, I acted as organizational liaison for Club and Third Party events.Coordinated event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support, budget, marketing and publicity and pre- and post-event evaluations.Worked collaboratively with corporate giving and major gift staff to ensure good event volunteer, attendee and donor relationships. Soliciting cash gifts, sponsorships and in-kind gifts were part of the duties of this position.
