About Amy A.
Hello! I’m Amy, a UX designer returning to the field after over a decade of freelancing in illustration and design.I began my career at an internet portal, building interface designs and creating content, then took a webmaster position at a media corporation where I maintained websites for five Atlanta radio stations. During my freelance tenure, I worked on a spectrum of projects for all kinds of clients, including lots of websites and brands built from scratch.I really enjoy the exploratory that leads to making something more helpful for a user, but even more so, I enjoy getting into what might delight the user, which is a mindset that I developed in my design and illustration work and I think is harmonious with the principles of UX design. I aim to “make it beautiful, and make it work beautifully.”Seeing how we as people have evolved in the face of the internet definitely drives a desire to incorporate the user into every part of my design work. I aim to create universal journeys that test the boundaries of how we use technology and push perceptions about how intuitive a tech experience can be.
