I provide Clinical Education and leadership support within the Mental health and Addictions program. I develop and facilitate learning opportunities for staff, to ensure best practice, continuous improvement in clinical practice and professional development. I work collaboratively with all members of the Interdisciplinary Team and am a resource for corporate initiatives related to Mental Health and Addictions. Within this collaboration, I lead and participate in policy development and implementation and recommend change strategies for continuous quality improvement.

I provided individual and group based Psychotherapy to patients struggling with Mental Health and Addiction related concerns. I used Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques. I co-chaired the regional Concurrent Disorder Capacity building committee and am a regional trainer for the implementation and teaching of the standardized GAIN Q3 MI ONT screening tool.

As a Registered Psychotherapist, I supported the design and facilitate the online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Fundamentals course. I support learners, world wide in their journey to learning CBT.

Courses taught include: Working with Women, Violent Behaviour, Special Populations, Brief Therapy, Interviewing Skills, Addictions Counselling Theory and Practice, Crisis Intervention and Psychopharmacology.
