Most of my career has been spent working for three law firms moving from a fee earner, to team leader and progressing to Debt Recovery Manager. In this role, I am the first point of contact for clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to national and international organisations. We constantly aim to improve performance and maximise collections by analysing data, identifying trends, proposing new strategies and implementing different processes. Building and deepening relationships with clients is one of my strengths. From the initial discussion, I take responsibility for negotiating terms, recommending and implementing rigorous processes, establishing reporting requirements and agreeing benchmarks for success. Regular, face-to-face presentations to clients gives them confidence in our commitment to continuous improvement. Underpinning this commitment is my flair for inspiring staff to meet challenging targets through monitoring their workloads and performance. Key skills include a positive attitude to problem-solving, a calm, analytical approach to time and task management and a determination to deliver to deadline.
