Project architect for GSA projects in Texas

Higher education experience: student center expansion and building renovation for a University in San Marcos (both occupied during construction) Lead weekly OAC meetings for the renovation project. Coordinated consultants and all email correspondence for the project. Completed all technical documentation for the multi-phase renovation/reconfiguration as well interior finish boards and renderings. Responded to all RFIs during construction administration. Government and military experience: project architect on a border patrol facility and interior design lead on three Middle East projects with multiple buildings in contract. Selected finishes and compiled SID drawings and physical sample binders for all buildings.

Projects: Restaurant, multi-family, mixed-use, office, senior housing. Working alongside project managers to plan, develop, and execute technical documentation. Project architect on multiple Austin restaurants (two in Belterra and one in Domain Northside); coordinating and producing schematic, design development, and construction documents in collaboration with Project Manager. Performing construction administration duties as needed. (RFI's RFPs, site visits, change orders, etc)Design lead for an event pavilion in Bryan, TX. Client wanted flexible, open, event space that would highlight and anchor the new collection of regional dining, hospitality, retail and wellness offerings by celebrating music, art, nature and design. Executed design and planning efforts for mixed-use projects in Austin; Jackson, MI; San Destin, Florida; retail, office, residential/hotel, cinema, and restaurants.

Researched, ordered, and organized materials and samples for furniture, tile, concrete planters, and paint colors for the office material lab. Designed graphics for Austin Homes Tour cards, updated company logo, letterheads and templates. Updated and built pre-design Sketchup models from vectorworks plans and sections. Updated and noted drawings in Vectorworks from redlines, Sketchup models, and site visit measurements. Created renderings using Photoshop and presentation drawings using Illustrator

Performed a wide range of tasks including attending client meetings on and off site, as well as coordination meetings with consultants; participating in design charrettes for commercial, residential, and industrial projects providing insight; building a digital model of a residential project using SketchUp, referencing hand-drafted drawings; updated drawings in CAD from marked-up sets of a hotel project; and working with a team developing marketing and presentation materials, including announcements, proposals, and website concepts.
