Was promoted to manage the entire IT operation in China during the most challenging time. China County Bank business was in the middle of Sale. As part of the sale, the IT operation needed to transition to the Buyer in 3 months and the Core Banking Platform needed to migrate to a Cloud solution in 6 months. The Core Banking platform upgrade was urgently needed prior to the Transition because the High operational risks. On top of all, the entire IT Department was retrenched because of an un-flourished business decision earlier in the year. Low morale and no resource.Major Achievement:Rebuilt a highly motivated team in a very short time. Collaboratively worked with the Buyer and all of the suppliers, successfully finished the Core Banking upgrade, transitioned IT operation to the Buyer before the Sale was closed and migrated the banking solution to the Cloud just in time. In the meantime, transformed the WAN for CBA’s International Finance Division which connects 8 sites internationally. Provide 5 times the bandwidth and cost reduced more than 40%.
