I am the Assistant Editor for the InSolihull Magazine. I create the content for the issues and interact with businesses and the people of Solihull to find out what they wish to see. I liaise with the Editor in Chief Melanie and the creative agency to make each quarterly issue relevant, engaging and valuable to both the advertisers, readers and businesses in Solihull.I also reach out to the local community through Social Media, the magazine and regular events, festivals and awards. On the events side I am the co-ordination assistant, this involves getting businesses on board and part of the events, as well as marketing the events through various platforms.

I have worked here part time whilst working on my studies at University, it has taught me the importance of team work, organisational skills and customer relationships, in order to gain Loyalty.

Two month internship- Role involves full preparation of events from initial planning stages to onsite preparation and running. Involves planning, admin, and working with trends, creating trend boards, liaising with retailers, assisting stylists, working backstage and as part of a team. During the intern I worked on 6 events including Style Birmingham Live 2015 and Bristol Fashion Week 2015 I was also involved in the model casting process for the Clothes Show Live 2015

During my internship I was in charge of the Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook for the company. I had to make sure they has a regular reach to their customers in the UK and in the USA, this meant scheduling posts through Hootsuite and sending our mail campaigns through Mailchimp. I also had to look at the statistics behind the website and the social media in order to find ways to increase the page fall and dwell time on their pages.

I worked part time in the Students Union whilst completing my third year of university, this job allowed me to work in various places around the university including two bars, a club night, two shops and a Starbucks outlet. This helped me to further improve my customer service and organisational skills and I am now Starbucks trained.

For our second year live project we had to produce and run a pop-up shop, my role was part of the online marketing and social media team in order to make consumers aware of the events before hand and the opening of the pop-up shop. The shop was opened for a week with various events ran before hand including speed dating, and a fashion show.
