I was elected by the 650 students in my class and served as an advocate for my student body. In order to organize school activities, I worked closely with both USB and the school administrators, gaining experience in student government and developing leadership skills.

USB is our school's leadership program and is responsible for coordinating school events, club approvals and budgets, school dances, and encourages the involvement of students in our school activities. Being a member of USB provided the opportunity for me to become more knowledgable and involved in our school activities as class president .

As a member of my school's cheer team for four years, I was Junior Varsity captain my sophomore year and Varsity captain my senior year. Elected as captain by both my coach and team, I helped my coach organize fundraisers, choreograph routines, guide teammates through conflict, and relayed information between the coach and team.

Co-founded a school club with the purpose of connecting with other students that aspire to work in the legal field and learn about different fields of law. Held meetings every Tuesday for 2 years, each week featuring a different field of law in a powerpoint.

I created Hand in Hand club to hold fundraisers and volunteer at KASEC (Korean American Special Educational Center), for developmentally disabled children. As President, I have conducted multiple fundraisers, over 100 hours in volunteer opportunities for my club, and was featured on the Korean Times Newspaper for our work in the community.

I have volunteered 130 hours at Young Kim's office during the 2022 election, learning camping stragedy, legislative policy, and voting technology through this experience. I later on became one of the Team Captains, holding the role of leading and training newer interns in door knocking, phone banking, and voter contact.

As a volunteer, I was stationed at the Summer Day Camp for 4 hours a day and 5 days a week throughout the summer of 2022. From this experience, I was able to learn effective communication skills between staff and parents, trained to take care of children, created bonds with daycampers, and learned quick problem solving skills when issues arose. I have volunteered a total of 120 hours at this role.
