CurrentManaging BekaertDeslee's North America Mattress Cover Design team. A mattress cover is the outer shell that goes around the inner core of a mattress (foam / coils) and is made up of different textiles and other components. Besides mattress covers, we also develop pillows, toppers, protectors and bed base covers.* Responsible for Cover Design in both US and Mexico units;* Leading the Concept Cover Center in the US;* Leading the Cover Design Department, providing comprehensive support to the team to meet their needs, as they are my first customer. Establishing goals, assigning work, coaching, and mentoring, developing the team to each members’ growth in technique and aesthetics, developing a sense of ownership and trust;* Ensuring that quality and innovation are key components of the textiles and cover products being offered in the North American market;* Harnessing consumer insights, technical innovation, and compelling creative design;* Working with a customer centric design approach;* Supporting Sales Team in all matters regarding cover design;* Working with NPI Engineers to ensure the product is made according to the design vision and meeting performance targets;* Being part of the Worldwide Group Cover Design and participating in R&D product feedback and development.* Being part of the Core group to develop our booth at the ISPA trade show where we showcase our newest collection and technologies;
