My parents owned a small tree business that I had a part in growing up. As I became older, I learned the ins-and-outs and ups-and-downs of the company (where ups-and-downs refers to climbing up and down trees in this case). I learned how to work harder and smarter, how to care for our planet, and how to be kind and generous.I have carried these skills and values with me in all my work and academic experiences. - At Target, I received a Performance Award recognizing the effort I put in to ensuring positive experiences for guests. - At Swarthmore ITS, I treated the clients I assisted with kindness while working diligently to solve their tech issues. - As a Student Wellness Educator, I learned how to teach others skills that would allow them to care for themselves and others in new ways. - Currently, in my roles in Brand Strategy and Content Creation, I get to combine three passions: design, web development, and well-being. I work harder and smarter to ensure that not only goals are met, but the process reaching them is an enjoyable journey, too. Sometimes I remind myself of my roots. Just as it takes patience and perseverance for a tree to grow into its best self, it will take time and effort for me to become mine. My past serves as a reminder of who I want to be in the future: someone who will continue to grow into their strongest, kindest, and most driven self.
