Clinical: Ability to competently perform vital signs and injections. Assist in patient preparation for examinations and minor surgery. Perform EKGs, First Aid and sterilization procedures including maintenance of asepsis and sterile technique. Preparation of cultures, perform dipstick urinalysis, urine pregnancy tests, hemoglobin and basic chemistry tests. Administrative: Computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows and Internet web browsers (Explorer and Netscape). Able to maintain medical record documentation and perform filing duties. Knowledge of medical and legal issues, OSHA regulations and medical waste management procedures. Able to work in shifts. Ability to provide leadership and innovation within this area of expertise. Flexible in work and proactive. Ability to multi-task.
