I am a specialist in developing and implementing strategic plans, intergovernmental processes, and collaborative platforms connecting governments, businesses and grassroots communities. I led the preparatory process of the New Urban Agenda, in the capacity of the general coordinator of the Habitat III Conference, as well as the World Urban Forum from 2012 to 2019. My interest in cities originated during the research about the social, cultural, and economic impact and legacy of major events in cities, such as the Olympic Games and the universal expos.Tolerant, energetic, deeply committed and passionate, I enjoy working on projects that lead to policy change and where innovation, creativity, participation, and inclusiveness are the bases of success. My strongest asset is the ability to develop strategic frameworks and transform them into operational plans, with an innovative approach based on co-creation and collaboration with key partners. I have lived in Barcelona, Madrid, Priština, Nairobi, New York and Bangkok, and have worked in projects in cities all over the five continents. With the creation of OnCities2030 (oncities.org), I am excited to continue supporting local, national and international processes, projects, and initiatives that accelerate inclusive, age- and gender-sensitive urban development.
