Analyzed data of 4, 8, and 16 year old children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities in Webb County to provide information on early identification, evaluation, and characteristics of children with ASD.

Scholarship recipient from South Texas to spend two weeks as a volunteer member of a Medical Brigade in Costa Rica. Practiced taking vital signs and discussed patient histories, examination, house visits, and community triage with a local physician. Had the opportunity to assist in examination/ diagnosis/ treatment processes under the supervision of a local doctor. Educated others on obesity, diabetes, hypertension and healthy living habits.

I provided weekly peer mentoring, academic advising, and tutoring to first-generation students in the TRiO STEM program. I helped students become academically successful and feel connected to their college community by providing advice on navigating social situations and building relationships.
