Participation in dispensing prescription medicines to the public, ensuring that different treatments are compatible, correctly and safely supplied, advising the public on the treatment of minor ailments, advising patients of any adverse side-effects of medicines or potential interactions with other medicines/treatment, doing health checks (blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring and diabetes screening).

Curricular internship at regulatory affairs. Assessment of National and European legislation in the field of medical devices. Contact with similar authorities, manufacturers, distributors and regulatory affairs consultants. Regulatory validation and codification of medical devices. Demonstration of conformity of medical devices with applicable legislation: EC declaration of conformity and EC certificate of conformity, labeling and package leaflet, risk classification, purpose, European cooperation for market surveillance.

Summer internship at community pharmacy. Become acquainted with the pharmacy and the products available, pharmacy operatin rules, stocks management and applicable legislation.
