In my second year of studying law at Queen Mary University of London, I joined the Pro-Bono society to merge my journalistic interests with my genuine passion for law.Throughout my tenure with Pro-Bono, I was tasked with covering numerous events organized by the society. This involved capturing photographs, sharing updates on social media, and keeping society members informed about the event's discussions, purposes, and more. Additionally, I played a key role in publishing and promoting all the placements provided by the society.

In the legal profession, the notary serves as a guarantee of legitimacy and security for both individuals and the state. Among the various functions undertaken by a notary are drafting wills, handling inheritances (acting as trustees responsible for distributing assets to beneficiaries), establishing companies, facilitating property transactions, overseeing weddings and divorces, and preparing documents such as powers of attorney and donations.During a three-month period, I shadowed a notary, actively participating in all her functions and accompanying her in client meetings. Under her guidance, I contributed to the creation of various documents, including wills, loans, company incorporations, and contracts.Through this internship, I gained insights into the rules of intestacy when someone dies without a will, the requirements for establishing a company, the prerequisites for a contract to be legally valid in a civil law system like the Spanish one, and I deepened my understanding of the similarities and differences between the English and Spanish legal systems.

I worked in the Communication department for a period of three months. During this time, I was responsible for clipping and continuously monitoring Telefónica's performance and media exposure across various channels, including radio, print and online media, television, and teletypes. This encompassed tracking national and international economic press, media specialized in telecommunications, communication, and finance, as well as information related to Telefónica's international subsidiaries.Every morning and evening, I produced a briefing summarizing the main news of the day and the day before for the approximately 20,000 Telefónica employees in Spain.

During my three-month internship with the International department at Europa Press, I undertook a comprehensive role that involved translation and interpretation tasks. I translated teletypes from agencies such as Reuters, AFP, Sputnik, etc., converted press releases from international organizations like the UN into Spanish, and translated extensive reports from entities like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. Beyond these language-related responsibilities, I actively participated in on-site coverage of press conferences, informational breakfasts, and other events related to institutional information. Additionally, I took on the responsibility of writing and publishing my own news articles, contributing to the agency's coverage of international politics, armed conflicts, natural disasters, and humanitarian crises. This dynamic role required adherence to Europa Press's style rules, ensuring accuracy and precision in conveying information.

In my role as a photographer, I was assigned to cover every news story published in the newspaper. The chief editor would contact me via phone or email, specifying the time and location for capturing images related to the article. Particularly when the articles involved photographing individuals, establishing a connection with them required considerable effort. I worked to build rapport, gaining their trust to allow me to take pictures and striving to capture their authentic essence in the photographs.

In the initial stages of my Journalism studies, dissatisfied with the topics covered in the program, three colleagues and I took the initiative to launch our own radio show. Thus, 'El café de las Siete' came into existence, focusing primarily on discussions about political and social issues we deemed significant at the time. Aired every Tuesday, we transformed 'El Café de las Siete' into a critical and thought-provoking platform.
