I recently graduated with a Merit in my Master of Science at Leeds Beckett University. Straight after I graduated in Psychology Bsc(Hons). I am now a Teaching Assistant at a Primary school. I used to be a YouthWatch Volunteer for Healthwatch Leeds since 2019, where I regularly attended meetings and took part in Volunteer Induction training, Safeguarding adults training and a Mental Health First Aid awareness course with MHFA England which gave me the ability to recognise some signs of mental health distress, start a supportive conversation about mental ill health, relate to young people’s experiences, and practise self-care.Through exams and coursework I have learnt to be self-motivated, and spending 6 years as a competitive diver for Leeds City Diving Club I have learnt to be resilientand tenacious. I have plentiful ambitions, after completing my degree I desire to study Developmental & Educational Psychology MSc and then apply for a Teaching assistant role to obtain experience working with children in a primary school setting. After this I aim to study a Doctorate in Educational Psychology. Furthermore, I am a Health Care Assistant at Unity Plus where I work as a Support Worker caring for people with learning disabilities. I enjoy helping people and find it very intrinsically rewarding.
