I'm a Brazilian journalist with an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil, 2006), a masters degree in Editing in Journalism from Universidade da Coruña (Spain, 2009) and almost 20 years of experience in hardnews in print, on-line and television. For almost 13 of those years I worked as an Education reporter at G1 and as a senior data journalist for TV Globo in São Paulo. I am currently working as a data and AI journalist at InvestNews. Aside from that, I am one of the directors at Abraji, the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalists (2024-2025) and participate in the Jeduca Comittee, the Association of Education Journalists.As a personal side project, I am writing a book about the refugee crisis in Greece, where I have been twice as a journalist and a volunteer.My skills include:- Writing and editing hardnews and real time coverage in print, digital and television formats- Data-driven news production- R, SQL and Excel as a last resort- Working collaborative with a team- Training journalists in data science and AI toolsMy main interests are:- Reporting on human rights topics, especially migration and access to education and healthcare- Storytelling using data- Sharing knowledge
